Moving Can Be Stressful… Even more stressful when you are unaware of how it all works… We know how daunting any move can be and we want to help alleviate some of the stress that comes with it! Here’s a guide to the step-by-step process if you choose Lucrative Van Lines for your moving needs.
First Contact! Once you fill out the quote form, one of our Estimators will contact you by phone to gather some information to help generate a moving quote that works best for your moving needs. A descriptive inventory list of the items you wish to move will be requested. This helps the estimators generate the moving quote based on the estimated volume those items will occupy on the truck.
The quote was generated and accepted! It’s time to BOOK your move. For scheduling and logistics purposes, a 2-day window is required. Your move, of course, will be completed in a few hours (depending on the size of your shipment) on just one of those two days.
You will have the opportunity to contact your Estimator to make any adjustments to your estimate (no later than 7 days prior to the scheduled move date). So don’t worry if you changed your mind about some items, we will adjust this for you at no penalty fees.
Your move date is approaching! It’s time to call you to confirm. Our Dispatch Team will contact you the day before your scheduled move to confirm the exact date and estimated timeframe of when the movers will be arriving. In order to dispatch movers, we must confirm with you directly the day before.
It’s Moving Day! The Foreman assigned to your move will contact you prior to arriving. Once he arrives, a walkthrough will take place. This is to help establish a more accurate estimate after visually inspecting the shipment. In the case you’ve decided to add some extra items that we weren’t informed of, NO WORRIES! Lucrative Van Lines will only charge for the space occupied on the truck with your belongings. If Foreman believes your estimate may increase, a New Written Estimate will be completed prior to loading. This helps avoid any surprises to the customer as well as gives them full control over the move cost. In order to begin the work, the New Written Estimate must be completed to reflect the new estimated amount based on the additional items. You have full control of your move!
Shipment is loaded! Now it’s time to bring your shipment to our 24-hour surveillance and climate-controlled warehouse. Your shipment will be unloaded into our warehouse until you are ready for delivery. A form will be presented to you at the time of pick up with questions about your destination and your first ready date for delivery. To better coordinate the delivery of your items, please complete this form as best as you can. If you do not have a delivery address yet, NO WORRIES! Lucrative Van Lines provides all our clients with 30-day free storage in our warehouse. Once you have a delivery address, email us the info, and your account will be updated immediately and placed on schedule to load on the first available truck.
Shipment ready for delivery! Based on your first available delivery date (FADD) your shipment will be loaded. Our Logistics Department must ensure your shipment does NOT get delivered before the FADD. Once your shipment is loaded for delivery, you will receive an email with the Driver’s direct contact number. It doesn’t get better than calling the Foreman driving to you to get the most accurate ETA.
Delivery day! Our excellent team of movers will unload your shipment, unwrap any of the padded blankets which will be placed on all furniture items for protection, and place everything where you want it to go! Our goal is for our customers to not have to do too much work after the movers leave. All that will be left is for you to unpack and get settled into your new home!
